Raised on Long Island, Anthony left home at age 16 to pursue junior hockey and later earned a Division I roster spot at Bentley University. He graduated in 2008 with a degree in finance, launching his career in wealth management just several weeks later— and at the onset of the global financial crisis. This early trial by fire taught Anthony the value of discipline, clear communication and opportunity in adversity.

He joined the Morgan Stanley FA training program and entered production in late 2008. In 2009, he began partnering with Jim Corcoran Managing Director – Investments and Karl Hueglin Managing Director – Investments, forming the foundation for what would evolve into Harbor21. Anthony earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® certification around 2011 and led the team’s development of holistic planning services and discretionary portfolio models.

In 2016, Harbor21 joined Wells Fargo Advisors, drawn by the firm’s robust lending and service infrastructure. Today, Anthony helps steer the team's strategic growth while managing many of its most complex institutional and ultra-high-net-worth relationships.

Anthony is widely regarded as the architect of Harbor21’s operational model. He oversees client execution, compliance and investment strategy across hundreds of interconnected accounts and entities. His work spans industries and geographies, with a focus on reinsurance and captive insurance portfolios—an area in which he helped Harbor21 develop a nationally scaled, efficient solution for auto groups and business owners.

He’s a connector—of people, processes and plans—and a relentless advocate for asking, “What aren’t we doing for our clients yet?”

Anthony lives in Rye, New York, with his wife Megan and their three children: Charlotte, Teddy and Declan. The family is active in their community, recently welcomed a puppy named Baxter and supports causes including St. Jude and Children’s Philanthropy of Rye, where Megan serves as Co-President.

Many of the families he advises span generations, with some relationships now extending to a fourth generation, reflecting the loyalty and stability at the core of his practice.

A native of Port Jefferson, NY, Brian earned his degree in Finance from Providence College and entered the financial services industry right after graduation. After starting his career, he settled into an advising role at Smith Barney, remaining with the firm through mergers with Travelers, Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. He was an early specialist in corporate services, working with executives at global companies including IBM, Pfizer and Honeywell.

He later joined Credit Suisse before moving to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2016. Today, he serves as a Private Wealth Financial Advisor (PWFA) and senior partner of the Harbor21 Wealth Management Group, working side-by-side with longtime business partner Sirena Hamel. Together, they support a select group of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with deeply personalized planning.

For over three decades, Brian has specialized in simplifying complexity—helping clients clarify their goals, preserve wealth and plan for the generations ahead. He places a strong emphasis on family legacy and multigenerational stewardship, often serving as a steady guide through life’s transitions, from retirement to estate decisions.

Life Beyond the Office

Brian and his wife, Claire, have been married for 34 years and live in Westchester County, NY. They’re the proud parents of three grown sons: Matthew, Conor and Aidan.

Family travel is one of Brian’s favorite traditions—particularly vacations spent in Europe immersing in local culture. He’s an avid golfer and enjoys tennis and pickleball. Gardening and landscaping are his favorite ways to unwind at home.

Brian supports causes close to his heart, including The Fuller Center for Housing, St. Jude’s, his local church and community-based nonprofits. Through both his work and life, he is committed to building a legacy that lasts.

Born and raised in Potomac, Maryland, Jim attended Georgetown Prep before earning a degree in Finance from Georgetown University. He launched his financial career at Gabriele Hueglin and Cashman, selling municipal bonds to high-net-worth individuals. His path continued through roles at Tucker Anthony Oppenheimer and, most notably, Morgan Stanley, where he built a reputation as a steady and thoughtful financial advisor over two decades.

In 2016, Jim joined Wells Fargo Advisors alongside his longtime team, where he continues to serve as a Managing Director within Harbor21. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as insurance and annuity licenses in most U.S. states.

Many of Jim’s client relationships span decades, including families he now serves across second and third generations. Jim and his wife Maria, whom he met in college, have been married for 40 years and raised five children—four of whom played Division 1 lacrosse. Now a proud grandfather to five, he lives in Point Lookout, NY, where he enjoys early morning ocean swims and music-filled evenings with family.

He’s served as a trustee for the Heisman Trophy Foundation for more than 25 years and is also a longtime board member of the Tewaaraton Foundation.

Jim was inducted into the Hall of Fame at both Georgetown Prep and Georgetown University. In addition, he is passionate about mentoring Georgetown students, helping guide the next generation with the same steady hand his clients have relied on for years.

Karl’s journey into finance began at Gabriele Hueglin and Cashman, the municipal bond firm co-founded by his brother. Inspired by family and drawn to the intellectual rigor of the field, he spent his early career developing deep expertise in fixed income markets. After a decade focused on municipal strategies, Karl transitioned to Oppenheimer, where he broadened his skillset to include equities and retail trading, followed by a long tenure at Morgan Stanley.

In 2016, Karl and his team joined Wells Fargo Advisors to form what is now Harbor21, where he continues to blend deep research, client collaboration and a fiercely inquisitive mindset. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations.

Karl specializes in portfolio construction and investment strategy, often serving as the team’s research engine, synthesizing economic trends, evaluating financial instruments and helping clients make decisions grounded in both analysis and realism. Karl and his wife, Leslie, share a love story that began in childhood and has grown over four decades of marriage. Together, they’ve raised three children and now enjoy life as grandparents to four. Karl cherishes time with family—especially babysitting duty—and stays active with golf, tennis and pickleball. A passionate traveler, he enjoys visiting loved ones across the U.S. and abroad, with Leslie by his side.

Brian grew up in Chappaqua, NY, and attended Brunswick School before earning his bachelor’s degree in history from McDaniel College. His career in finance began even earlier as an intern at Smith Barney. When he had completed the firm’s advisor training program, he launched his own solo practice.

He later joined a senior equity options group at Smith Barney, managing complex corporate stock option plans for executives at major companies such as IBM, Merck, Pfizer and Microsoft. His ability to navigate intricate planning needs led him to the firm’s Family Wealth Office, where he earned the title of Director—an honor reserved for top advisors focused on comprehensive wealth planning.

Brian lives in Bedford, NY, with his wife Dina, his middle school sweetheart and college partner. Known as a natural “fixer,” Matt keeps complex systems running smoothly, resolving issues before they escalate and thinking ten steps ahead for the benefit of both clients and colleagues.

Originally from San Diego, Matt moved to New York to attend Fordham University, where he earned his degree in Business Administration. After graduation, he launched his career at Morgan Stanley, gaining foundational experience in both client service and operational processes.

In 2014, he joined the Corcoran Hueglin Pellarin Group and became a stabilizing force, helping maintain alignment as the team grew. He transitioned to Wells Fargo Advisors in 2016 alongside the group, where he now plays a critical role on the Harbor21 team.

Holding the CRPC^® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™) designation, Matt supports a wide array of specialty services—ranging from institutional cash management and reinsurance investment strategies to retirement plan management and 401k participant education.

How He Works

Matt considers himself the link between the Financial Advisor and Client Associate role for Harbor21, possessing a powerful combination of investment management and client service expertise. He not only conducts fund research and other portfolio analysis, but also makes sure the team delivers exceptional service, including cash movement, client reporting and clear client communication.

He shares the perspective of Millennials like himself and members of Gen Z who may be dealing with aging family members or starting their own families. In short, his clients value him for understanding the needs and challenges they face.

Life Outside the Office

Matt lives in Brooklyn with his girlfriend Sunny, an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist. He is an instructor-level student of Practical Wing Chun kung fu and actively volunteers with the Martial Arts Education Society, supporting its mission to promote the positive values of martial arts education.

Matt’s also a dedicated freshwater fish keeper, enthusiastic home cook and concertgoer. In his free time, he supports institutions like Carnegie Hall and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden and loves exploring New York’s vibrant culinary and cultural scene.

Jax approaches his role at the Harbor21 Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors with a blend of analytical precision and genuine connection. As a Financial Advisor, he views his work as both a science and a relationship—which he compares to the role of a doctor, where rigorous expertise must be matched with empathy, clarity and trust.

From Curiosity to Calling

Originally from Waterford, Pennsylvania, Jax grew up with small-town roots and big-picture interests. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oregon with a degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. Though initially drawn to politics, he ultimately found his path in finance—coming full circle after a formative visit to the Harbor21 office at age 14.

Jax officially joined the team as a summer intern in 2019 and later built experience in both data analytics and reinsurance, working for three years at his father’s consulting firm. There, he helped auto dealerships build and manage reinsurance programs, an experience that now informs his dual focus on personal wealth management and business integration.

He is currently pursuing a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and he also completed training through the National Automobile Dealer Association’s Dealer Academy.

Jax in Action

Jax’s work spans investment analysis, portfolio construction, investment planning and reinsurance strategy. He plays a lead role in research and business development while working closely with clients to align investment decisions with personal goals.

He thrives in situations where logic and listening are equally valued, digging into data while also taking the time to understand what truly matters to each client.

He considers the financial advisor’s role as one of ethical responsibility and thoughtful execution, pairing technical skill with a light touch. Clients appreciate his ability to make complex topics approachable and his seriousness about the work—without ever taking himself too seriously.

Jax lives in New York City but often travels to Buffalo to visit his girlfriend, Abby, a teacher. He’s an avid hiker, backpacker and guitar player, and remains deeply connected to his roots and extended family along Lake Erie. He’s also passionate about community work and intends to further explore volunteerism as his career grows.

Sirena brings nearly three decades of experience and a deeply relational approach to her role with Harbor21. Her clients and colleagues know her for her precision, consistency and the care she brings to every relationship—qualities that have helped her support multigenerational wealth strategies for some of the team’s longest-standing clients.

Longevity, Detail and Depth

Sirena graduated from St. Lawrence University with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. After taking a temporary job in Virginia, she found herself drawn to financial services and never looked back. Her early roles in operations and institutional support at firms like Paine Webber and Salomon Smith Barney gave her a strong technical foundation and a deep understanding of both client behavior and business dynamics.

She joined the team led by Brian Melbourne and Brian Shepherd 20 years ago and has remained a core part of the practice through its transitions—from Morgan Stanley to Credit Suisse and, since 2016, to Wells Fargo Advisors.

Today, Sirena plays a central role in the Harbor21 team’s planning, trading, reporting and client engagement. She’s known for her encyclopedic memory, calm presence and ability to manage both client complexity and internal coordination. She holds her Series 7 securities registration and earned the CPWA^® (Certified Private Wealth Advisor^®) designation in 2022.

Sirena believes great service is built on consistency and follow-through. Her long tenure with the team reflects her commitment to continuity, helping ensure every client feels understood, supported and empowered through every life stage.

A Life of Global Adventure Outside the Office

Sirena now lives in Westchester County, NY, after spending many years in Manhattan. A lifelong explorer, Sirena has traveled to all seven continents and 84 countries, including both poles. She sees travel as a gateway to deeper connection, both personally and with clients. Whether sharing stories or offering steady guidance, Sirena brings curiosity, care and a broader perspective to every part of her life.

With a background that spans civil engineering, accounting and financial services, Mira is known for her precision, thoughtful approach and ability to quietly power through even the most complex challenges. Clients and colleagues alike trust her as the steady hand behind many of the team’s most vital operations.

From Slovakia to Wall Street

Originally from Slovakia, Mira studied civil engineering and worked in logistics before immigrating to the U.S. Drawn to numbers and structure, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business. She began her financial services career as an intern at Morgan Stanley, later joining the firm full-time as a Client Associate in 2013.

She supported multiple teams early on, including the one she now serves, and in 2016 she transitioned with them to Wells Fargo Advisors. Today, she holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as insurance securities registrations across numerous states. In 2025, she was honored as the first New York-based Client Associate nominated to attend a national Wells Fargo Advisors conference, a distinction she downplays with characteristic humility.

Leadership by Example

Mira handles all aspects of the operations across the Harbor21 Wealth Management Group team, including transfers, account opening and maintenance, alternative investment purchases and ad hoc reports and projects. As the team has grown, she has taken on a mentorship role with other client associates, all while continuing to manage critical day-to-day functions.

She values structure, numbers and solving problems, helping clients and always finding solutions for them. Clients appreciate her patience, professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure their needs are met.

An Active Life Beyond Finance

Now living in Westchester County, Mira is a longtime New Yorker and avid runner, having completed the NYC Marathon and several Ragnar relay events. She loves travelling, workout classes, pickleball, swimming, biking, hiking, gardening, clothing and home design. Also a lover of structure and style, she brings her sense of beauty and problem-solving into every part of her life.

Karlie’s warm, dependable presence is an important, consistent source of support for Harbor21’s team, where she serves as a trusted Client Associate. Known for her approachable style and deep commitment to service, Karlie considers it her responsibility to help build strong client relationships and make sure they feel fully supported at every step.

A Growing Career Rooted in Service

Originally from Pittsford, New York, Karlie earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023, with concentrations in Finance and Marketing. Her interest in the financial services industry began during a 2021 summer internship with her father, a financial advisor at Wells Fargo, where she was drawn to the personal nature of the work and the trust clients placed in their advisors.

After relocating to New York City in June 2023, Karlie officially joined Harbor21 in January 2025. She is currently studying for the SIE exam, with plans to complete her Series 7, Series 66, and insurance securities registrations in the coming year.

Karlie’s Approach

Karlie plays an active role in supporting clients with a range of needs, from handling new account openings and large money movements to guiding them through digital access and documentation. She’s especially focused on building trust with clients and becoming the person they know they can rely on for solid, clear and responsive help.

Karlie lives in New York City and enjoys everything the city has to offer, from trying new restaurants and cuisines to relaxing with friends. She’s passionate about Pilates, loves walking the West Side Highway and especially enjoys hosting family when they visit.

Known for her unwavering dedication to problem-solving and client care, Nataliya approaches each day with a strong service mindset, focusing not only on the task at hand but on the human experience behind it.

A Global Perspective, Grounded in Numbers and Service

Born and raised in Ukraine, Nataliya studied Civil Engineering and Land Management before relocating to the U.S. 13 years ago. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from Baruch College.

She began her career at Northwestern Mutual before moving to a five-year role at a boutique firm on Madison Avenue where she specialized in tax preparation, bookkeeping and small business advising.

Nataliya recently joined the Harbor21 Wealth Management Group of Wells Fargo Advisors team in 2025. Currently, she’s studying for her SIE and Series registrations to further expand her ability to serve clients with confidence and care.

How She Works

Nataliya supports clients through a wide range of service needs, including account openings, wire transfers and digital onboarding. She is often the first point of contact for clients navigating new systems, and she takes pride in making those experiences smooth and empowering.

Persistent by nature, Nataliya never shies away from complex tasks or nuanced client requests. Her background in hospitality, tax planning and analytics gives her an ability to connect with clients while handling details with precision. She’s especially passionate about building meaningful relationships and looks forward to expanding her knowledge as she progresses in career.

Life Outside the Office

Nataliya lives in New York City with her husband, Thomas, who works in hospitality and shares her love for food and travel. Together, they enjoy exploring new restaurants, hiking just outside the city and visiting destinations across Europe and the Mediterranean.

She is actively involved with Sumopomich, a Ukrainian volunteer group that supports newly arrived immigrants, and she and Thomas recently sponsored a Ukrainian refugee family from Donetsk—helping them begin a new life in Brooklyn.
